75 Years of Brilliance

Local PTAs across Midland have been supported locally by Midland Council PTA leaders since December 4,1950.

Texas PTA created councils to provide an additional layer of support to PTAs within a community. As we embark on our 75th year as a chartered Texas PTA Council within the Midland ISD community, we are excited to celebrate our legacy that has been 75 years in the making.

We invite families and community members to:

  • JOIN PTA to support our schools. (Become a Community Partner.)

  • INVEST in our future. (Become a MCPTA Supporter or Underwriter.)

  • ENGAGE to be knowledgable.

  • CONNECT with teachers, administrators, and other parents.

  • ADVOCATE for students and public education.

  • VOLUNTEER to give back.

Our Role

The Midland Council of PTAs board is composed of parents who are dedicated to supporting Midland ISD.

As a board, we are called to support and empower local PTA leaders by providing guidance, resources, and training to help them succeed. Through this work, the Board advances and upholds the mission of both Texas PTA and National PTA, advocating for the success and well-being of every child.

Midland Council supports…

  • 38 Local PTAs

  • More than 200 local PTA leaders

  • a 6A school district of more than 29,000 students
